Set up, step by step.

Do this once before your first brew. When you're ready, the matching brew guide takes over with a live, guided timer.

1. Boil the kettle Boil a little extra water so you can rinse the filter and warm the brewer.
2. Weigh 15g of coffee and grind it Use a medium grind as your starting point.
3. Fit the dripper into its holder Check that the dripper sits level and secure before placing it on your server.
4. Fold and place the cone filter Open the filter into a cone and settle it against the dripper ribs.
5. Rinse the filter and warm the brewer Wet the whole filter. Give a porcelain dripper a thorough preheat.
6. Discard the rinse water Keep the dripper steady as you empty the server, then place everything back on the scale.
7. Add the coffee and level the bed Gently shake the dripper so the coffee sits flat.
8. Turn on the scale and tare it to 0g Make sure your scale is set to grams before you begin.
9. You’re all set! Press "Done" to start. Aim to finish between 2:30 and 3:00. If it drains sooner, grind a little finer next time. If it runs later, grind a little coarser.
