Get started with OREA Z1.

Set up, step by step.

Do this once before your first brew. When you're ready, the matching brew guide takes over with a live, guided timer.

1. Boil 240g of water The Z1 does not need a paper rinse, so the full water amount is ready for brewing.
2. Weigh 16g of coffee and grind it Use a medium grind as your starting point.
3. Place the Z1 filter flat in the base Use the small 7cm Z1 filter made for this brewer.
4. Secure the funnel to the base Check that the filter stays flat and the brewer is assembled firmly.
5. Place the Z1 on your server Make sure the brewer is level and fully supported.
6. Fit the adapter and Melodrip The Melodrip softens the water stream so the small filter stays clear and flows evenly.
7. Add the coffee and level the bed Gently shake the brewer so the coffee sits flat.
8. Turn on the scale and tare it to 0g Make sure your scale is set to grams before you begin.
9. You’re all set! Press "Done" to start and keep the Melodrip in place. Aim to finish between 2:15 and 2:45. If it drains sooner, grind a little finer next time. If it runs later, grind a little coarser.
