Beanie does one thing genuinely well: discovery. Its database of 28,000+ coffees from independent roasters, an AI bag scanner, and a roaster map make it a lovely way to find your next bag. And it's completely free, on iPhone and Android.
But by its own description it's a lightweight journal, not a brewing tool. There are no brew timers of any kind (brew time is a field you type in), no Bluetooth scale support, no espresso tools, and no brewing analytics. It launched in August 2025 and so far has a single US App Store rating.
